Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Thank you so much for shopping with us. We really value you and greatly appreciate your order! At Alter Apparel we take great pride in our passion for quality and excellent fit, and our products that are considered slow fashion. In the instance that you need to return or exchange one of your items, please follow the steps below.

How To Return Your Order

At Alter, we are happy to offer you the option to exchange in the instance that you have gotten the wrong size. In the rare occasion that something is faulty, we will gladly give you a full refund on the return of the item. We politely decline full refunds or returns on change of mind however understand that we are an online store and can offer you shop credit to use on any other items.

Please follow the below instructions based on how you would like to return your item. 

Returning your online order by post:

1. Email hello@alterapparel.com.au with your intention to return your item, strictly within 48 hours of delivery of your order. Please include your order number, and whether you wish to exchange or credit

2. Follow the ‘Conditions of Return’ below

3. We will provide you with postal instructions and a Returns Authorisation number (RO#), which must be included with your returned item, written on the original paperwork.

⁠— Do not post your order back to us before receiving your RO number, as it will not be accepted.
⁠— Online orders need to be returned to us within 7 days of it being delivered.
⁠— Customers are responsible for return shipping charges, and we are not liable for any returned items that are lost in the post or damaged. We strongly advise customers to send the return via a traceable delivery method and keep record of your tracking number.
⁠— Shipping and handling charges are not refunded unless the original item was incorrect or faulty.

Full Price Items

Full price items purchased online are eligible for an exchange or credit note.

Sale Items

Sale items purchased online are final sale. Please be mindful of this when purchasing a sale item.

Shipping Costs

Australia - we aim to package your purchase within 48 hours of you placing your order and will then be in your hot little hands in 2-5 working days via Australia post.

For all orders within Australia, complimentary shipping applies.

All other countries - we aim to package your purchase within 48 hours of your placing your order and will be in you hot little hands in 5 - 10 working days.
